Good day ski fans, David here, Some trails are groomed for cross country running. Cows are still here , calves are gone. Preparations for the ski season will continue. Some new equipment will be in use this year. I intend to have a larger clear area around the “Chalet in the Valley”, for easy skiing. We had 12 people visiting this btncski blog site today. dgl!!

Snow is almost gone, and the ground is wet. Got the crawler/dozer going today. So, I did a little soil grooming as I cleared the beginner’s slope down by the Chalet. All trails need some soil grooming, and a lot of over hanging branches need to be snipped off.
I expect we will have about 1,000 ski day trips this coming season.

October 10, 09, David here, A whisp of snow came overnight. Made 8 km looking at trails with the new skidoo. Gotta get my crawler repaired and going, to shape the soil, fill the washouts, and make a beginner slope near the Chalet in the Valley. dgl!!
