(From David’s Ski-Mail)
Here at Shannondale, we have yet to ski, except for one, Lorne..
The trails have been roller packed many times, and some times the snow left anyways.
If you use all yer skills and all yer cautions, I think that there is enough snow to ski, with yer rock skis.
There is not enough snow to set a track.
Do not allow yer skis to gain any speed.
I will advise ski folks to not ski the Orange Classic or Orange Skate trails until we have more snow.
There is no cush for the tush!
There is about an inch of packed snow in the skimpy places.
There is up to 3 inches packed where the wind, sun and temp have had only a little influence.
That is the best I can do for making and reporting ski trail conditions.
That air must be healthy, not many bugs could survive in those temps.

Just got back from skating to Carson’s and back on the Blue classic trail. The trail was entirely skiable – but don’t use your good skis, there isn’t much of a base and there are some spots where your skis will drag on dirt. The trail would be fine for classic too, if you don’t mind making your own tracks.
It feels good to get out on the trails again – though I feel a bit out of shape for this time of year.
